Banner Contest

Our first banner piece is from Carla Henderson...love it!
This will be really fun!
Let's have a long string of banners in the store.

July is a Banner month at One Page at a Time as we celebrate summer with one of the hottest trends in Scrapbooking right now - Banners! Our Page of the Month Class incorporates a festive banner on the layout, our technique class teaches handmade banner ideas and we have a patriotic banner contest with prizes!

Patriotic Banner Contest - stop by the store beginning July 1 and pick up a chipboard banner piece to decorate in a red, white and blue or patriotic theme. Show us your creativity and return your decorated banner piece to the store by July 31. Your embellishments must not extend off of your banner pieces by more than an inch. We will add each piece to our banner strip and have them on display throughout the month of July and August. Customers can stop by and vote for their favorite banner piece from July 31 to August 14. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

Best Embellished

Best Bling

Best Overall

Most Original

Only one entry per customer.

Fun New Stuff

Hi! We were busy unpacking new goodies and putting them out today. We have brand new Jenni Bowlin Banner Alpha Stickers and Butterfly Banner Alpha Stickers. These are so great and a perfect size for cards or layouts. Maya Road sent us Wood Bingo Calendar Numbers, Kraft Tickets and Kraft Envelopes with different edges (great for a journaling pocket). We have the large Janet Baskets in stock...these are so fun to tote around all your stuff in and great for a chic shopping basket. Janet Baskets fold up for easy storage and are just $24.99. We have heard all kinds of uses for these baskets. We restocked several Tim Holtz products and adhesive products you might be looking for. The new summer travel line and beach line have the embellishments restocked and we received some more Artisan Tape from Pink Paislee!

I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him. ~Abraham Lincoln

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. ~Elmer Davis

He loves his country best who strives to make it best. ~Robert G. Ingersoll

I love America. I love the world. Brotherhood and sisterhood have no borders. My heart orbits the Earth, love cannot be measured in longitude or latitude. ~Terri Guillemets

Let freedom never perish in your hands. ~Joseph Addison

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism. ~Erma Bombeck
