Soup Can Mummy

I just love Halloween!! Made this cute mummy for each of my boys! Here are some easy instructions for this cute Halloween project.

Soup or Veggie Can Rinsed Out
White or Cream Twill
2 Big Googly Eyes
Candy
Cello Bag
Fun Ribbon
Tag Punch or Shape
Halloween Stamp
Button and Floss

Take the cleaned out can and glue one end of the twill to the can. Start at the bottom or the top and wrap your can "Mummy Style". Glue or tuck in the remaining end of the twill. Next tuck in and glue the googly eyes on. Place your cello bag in the can and fill with Halloween candy. Tie with cute ribbon and a decorated tag. Easy peasy and so cute!

Sugarland does Steampunk

We have had some questions pop up about Graphic 45's new Steampunk Debutante line.

Steampunk is showing an influence in clothing, music and is now appearing on our scrapbook layouts. Gears, Metal, Victorian Lace, Flowers, Wings and Technology are all making an appearance.

In this video Sugarland describes the Steampunk influence on them personally and their music. Their stage is amazing and represents a taste of "Steampunk" and what it is about. We have also seen the Steampunk look in other music and TV shows. Keep your eye out for this fun new inspiration. Gears and metal look great on boy and masculine pages and the Victorian look is showing up in the pages and cards around the store. It is always so exciting to see where designer influences come from and you never know what's going to show up next in our fun scrapbook world.

The Totally Rockin' 80's are Alive and Well

We had so much fun at our 3rd Birthday Crop Celebration! Games, Prizes, Food, Friends and Fun...oh yes and lots of scrapbooking. Here are a few pictures from this event. If you have some photos you would like to share from the birthday crop, please send them our way to onepageatatime@att.net and we will get them posted. Thank you for another wonderful year!

Fall Photo Op

The colors of fall make a great backdrop for your family photos. Grab the camera and the family for some awesome snapshots. Here are some tips that might help!

#1 Clothing: Everyone does not have to wear the exact same outfit. However, to give your photos a feeling of togetherness dress everyone in like colors. A fairly easy outfit to put together would be black shirts and blue jeans.

#2 Time of photo shoot: It is best to take outdoor photos early in the morning or in the evening so the sun is not directly overhead. Finding a nice shaded area is best.

#3 Check your background: You may need to adjust your camera angle to eliminate distractions.

#4 Get in the shot: Use a tripod and remote or self-timer to get in the shot yourself.

#5 Pile up some leaves and have fun! Take a lot of candid shots while your subject plays in the leaves.

Then bring in a few of your favorite photos and we can help you with custom photo Christmas cards. If you’re making your cards this year, remember to include a photo. We can print any size and many shapes!
